Fair Trade, Sumatra - Bold Roast - 10oz

$17.00

Aceh, the northernmost province of Sumatra, is known for its unique coffee terroir, with heirloom cultivars, fertile microclimates, and wet-hulled processing. Our coffee comes from PT Ketiara, a group founded in 2009 by Ms. Rahmah, one of Indonesia’s top coffee entrepreneurs, who started as a local cherry collector.

Ms. Rahmah’s leadership in Sumatra’s male-dominated coffee industry emphasizes gender diversity and farmer support. What began as a Fair Trade-certified cooperative with 38 members has grown to nearly 2000, with multiple sub-companies offering various coffee qualities and certifications.
